Matt loves Julie.
So much so, that he wound up popping the question months ago. Luckily, she loves him too, and she said yes. Flash forward to last week, at Julie’s stunning, intimate bridal shower. There are rare times when you can honestly see a strong, deep bond between two people in love that is going to last a lifetime. This was one of those times, and the most telling part of it: Matt wasn’t even there!
Guests gathered at Cafe Stoked, a local eatery within the San Elijo community in San Marcos, California. The venue combined class with delicious food, where Julie, her family, and friends enjoyed a stone-covered fireplace, a private lounge, and a sparkling fountain. In short, Cafe Stoked was the perfect fit for Julie’s bridal shower.
Now back to Julie and Matt’s never-ending love story. I’ve gathered a number of hints that prove this marriage will be the type where onlookers gush at their love through the decades. First, Matt put into writing a list of things he adored about Julie. They were put into frames by Julie’s friends and family, which were then endearingly displayed throughout the bridal shower. From the basics, “I love how she wants to share her life with me,” to the minute details, “I love how she is a lightweight!”, guests were practically foraging for Matt’s notes all over the bridal shower. Second, a collage of the couple glowed within its frame on a table–every picture had the two holding each other and/or smiling wide. Those pictures were just some of many.
I also noticed something special about Julie. This shower was supposed to be all about her becoming a Mrs., and yet the bride-to-be made it a point to spend at least a couple moments with every guest, laughing with them and thanking them for attending. That kind of characteristic is something Matt picked up on, so he put a ring on it.
Matt and Julie’s wedding day is quickly approaching, in 40 days’ time! They will get to enjoy what they love about each other every day for the rest of their lives very soon. Congrats you two, thank you both for letting me be a part of the beautiful bride-to-be’s bridal shower!
